Custom Glass Etching: “How’s It Made?” When people see custom glass etching from Krystal Glass Company for the first time, the first thing they usually say is “Wow, that’s awesome!” Then they wonder out loud, “How’s it made”? Below we’ll reveal some detail on the custom glass etching process used by 30-year Glass Artist Peter Edward and explain the typical process involved when commissioning a custom art glass creation. Peter Edward has made thousands of clients happy by sharing his gift for designing and creating beautiful custom glass etching for homes, business and yachts. The custom art glass pictured above is illuminated with LED lights and was created for the owners of a new Marlow yacht. LED illuminated custom glass etching is one of the most popular decorative glass types requested at Krystal Glass Company, a 35 year old art glass company in Pompano Beach, Florida. Every decorative glass and mirror project is a unique one-of-a-kind personal creation as unique as each client is. Question: What is your first step of the custom glass etching process when working with a client to create a unique piece of art glass? Peter Edward: My first priority is to gain a full understanding of their use for the art glass and what type they would like to have. I specialize in custom glass etching and offer several varieties of enhancements to that. What purpose will the art glass serve? What will it accomplish for them- functional or purely decorative? To ensure a beautiful result, we also ask a lot of questions about where the decorative glass or mirror will be located and how it will be displayed. We know how special each project and its investment...

A stunning new three-panel art glass design of two elegant etched glass peacocks standing at a fountain is now on display at the Krystal Glass Company showroom in Pompano Beach, Florida. In our 35 years of creating custom fine art glass, this is one of the most beautiful pieces ever created by Peter Edward, glass artist and president. The highly detailed art is etched and carved in glass by hand with meticulous detail. Peter Edward is known for his intricate shading techniques in etched glass throughout elaborate designs like the feathers of the peacocks. The drops of water flowing from the fountain as it sprays upward give the piece movement and create a unified scene. The pieces are illuminated with bright white LED lights. Each panel is 26″ wide x 72″ high and is custom made and framed in lightweight low profile black metal. Peter Edward designed the trio to hang on a wall wherever a stunning visual statement is desired in a home, business or vessel. Each piece has its own French cleat on the back so installation is easy. He designed the art to flow best with a spacing of 1″ between panels for a total width of 80″. The backing of the pieces is black for dramatic contrast with the white LED illumination. The pieces can easily be converted into a free-standing screen as well. The trio is ready for a new home and can be delivered and installed in the South Florida area or safely crated, insured and shipped anywhere. All art glass created by Krystal Glass Company is custom and available in any size, shape and design for a wide...

Glass Artist Peter Edward created the custom carved and etched glass waterfall piece with a solid frosted glass background. The clients installed it and created this beautiful etched glass waterfall in their home’s entryway. Like all the etched glass created by Krystal Glass Company, this piece involved custom artwork that the clients supplied to us. They wanted something unique that no one else has and that is not available in stores. Review of the Etched Glass Waterfall Here’s the generous 5-Star Review they gave us for the custom etched glass waterfall on Facebook. Artist’s Note About Water and Etched Glass This etched glass waterfall is designed to have the water running over the smooth side so that water does not come in contact with the etched and carved glass surface.
