This becomes extremely important if it needs to match or coordinate with another door or window. Would you be able to find the original glass artist and if you know who it is, are they even still in business? It’s a story we hear frequently at Krystal Glass Company. A customer calls to have a custom glass etching replaced with new glass. Broken etched glass doors or sidelights due to a rock or other object breaking the glass are common. Many doors, windows and sidelights in entryways are etched with artwork that carries from one glass panel to the others. Some glass entryways contain two doors with etched glass mirror images of each other. Each time we encounter a project like this, glass artist Peter Edward comes to the rescue to repair the entryway like it never even happened. “I am completely in awe of Pete’s work, and of how quickly he did it.
